  under the history banner is listed "prodigal son".

  (i also noted the person was born the same year as me.

  Re. Rupert Bradbury: Sorry George the Bradbury's were close family friends. I stayed with them as a kid in their house in Bearsden, Glasgow. They built a house near Loch Lomond in the sixties and I stayed with them there.

  He was a brilliant man, totally independent minded. Had he still been alive (and he is not) he would I think be a contributor to this site.

  Please be assured that he has been dead for many years, his wife, Margaret is living rather grandly somewhere down south. I could check where, a family member stayed with her not so long ago. In short he is definitely deceased.

  I sat through that crap myself. The amazing thing is the spin. Worshiping canaanite gods becomes worshiping your family, health and job. Put your family or health first? Try to support your self and your family? False gods, shun them.

  How do they conjure this crap out of Jeremiah? They just decide what stick they want to beat us with, what drum do bang and claim it is direction from Jehovah. It makes me purple with rage.

  Travelling Instructors: COs used to do the pio. schools, elder's schools MTS schools and the like. Now Chris Jolley is doing that full time and will be for three years. They have designated him Travelling Instructor.

  there's a study article "make sure of the more important things", and in no uncertain terms the article makes clear that "jehovah's organization" is the most important thing.

  the term "organization" or "jehovah's organization" is used a whopping 24 times in the article, including a subheading titled: "follow the example of jehovah's organization".

  i thought organizations were entities, but that sort of subheading makes it seem like the organization is one giant person whose example we can follow.

  hi guys,.

  i was just looking through www.reddit.com/r/exjw and there is a thread that was posted about four hours ago with the title "so our circuit overseer just got disfellowshipped" and there some basic details in their op.

  the location is given as central coast, australia, which is north of sydney.. there aren't many more details other than "it has sent shockwaves throguh the congregations" and a query on the protocol in situations like this.

  All I want is confirmation that these claims are factual, that can only established by the publication of a name. We don't need details.

  A disfellowshiping is a public event, announced to a public audience and is therefore not a secret. The reasons for the shunning are not disclosed. The bald name(s) are public and therefore the fact that they have not emerged is strong evidence that the rumours are untrue. If it is true there is no valid reason for names not to be named.
